Thursday – IS NOW SECTION COLOR DAY!

We are moving our band olympics ahead so we need to have our sections dress in color that was originally planned for Friday.

The Section Colors are:

Flutes – BLUE

Clarinets – BLACK 

Sax/Mellophone – RED 

Trombones – GREEN

Trumpets – YELLOW

Sousaphones – TIE DYE 

Percussion – PINK

THE FIRE TRUCK IS ALSO COMING TOMORROW!   BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES AND A TOWEL IF YOU’D LIKE!

Band Camp Progress and Friday’s Open Performance

​Camp is off to a fantastic start!   As of this afternoon we have two-thirds of the show on the field!  Our students are doing great and we have some great leadership happening!

We will have a camp performance that will be open to the public as a part of our camp at 3:00.  We will wrap up our camp at the end of the performance.   The performance will be on the marching band field behind the school.

If you haven’t checked our master schedule yet, please mark our first football game on August 26th in your calendar.   We will have a rehearsal at 3:00 and transition right into the game .    Dinner plans for the students are being developed.

Freshmen do have access to the school accounts now. 

THANK YOU to ALL the parents who have stepped up to help with uniforms!  It’s a huge and important task for our band students!  We will need even more help the last part of the week (and Friday morning has been added).  Please sign up if you can donate a few hours of your time!  It’s appreciated!  

We are also in need of a few more donations.  THANK YOU for all the donations too!  The students are appreciating their snacks!!

Final Reminders for Band Camp Tomorrow!

Camp Times: Aug 2 – Aug 6 – 9:00 – 4:00

Reminder – We are starting outside on our field.The building will only be open for students getting their uniform fitted.The building will be open to all on our first break.

Reminder – Check in with Mrs. Karns before finding your line.

Reminder – Leadership Team members will greet their sections.   Line up behind them on their line for your instrument.

Uniform Fittings – Check your time and date.  (See reminders below)

Uniform Fittings – Girls will need to bring their shoes that they will be wearing with their concert dress.This will make sure they are hemmed correctly.

Lunch – Don’t forget a lunch!  Campus will be closed during lunch.

Water – Stay hydrated and bring your own water bottle.Drink water the night before.

Google Classroom – Students – Check you email.You have been enrolled in a Marching Band Classroom.

Bring – Sunblock, Water Bottle and Athletic (tennis) shoes.No flip flops or sandals.

Theme Day – Check your email or coopersvillebands.org for the theme days!Don’t forget your crazy socks tomorrow!

Uniform Fitting
