Monday, Oct. 8, 2018

Meeting called to order at 6:05 pm

In attendance- Amy Karns, Greg VanStrien, Lisa Borst, Keli Nobert, Karen Pike, Christine Sprague, Beth Mast, Nathan Soles, Kari Fuller, Amy Young, Sue Bennett

Student rep: Vincent Bennett

Reports

  • September meeting minutes reviewed- motion carried to approval by Beth M and Keli N.
  • Financial
    • Chocolate bill not paid yet, Trip payment made.
    • Bank statement reviewed and approved.- motion carried to approval by Beth M and Karen P.
  • Fundraisers- reminders in newsletter. All fundraisers to be cleared thru Lisa Adams/ Administration.
    • Family Fare receipts- $90,000+ of $150,000 goal.
    • Amazon Smile- still active.
    • Hungry Howies- 1550 pizzas sold.
    • SCRIP- Amy K
      • 24 active people, 37 registered. $1569 made towards student accounts for trip.
    • Chocolate Sale- see October financial report.
    • Silent Auction (Marching Banquet)- Oct 20.
      • Students to collect items; profits their own account.
      • Info to go out in newsletter.
    • Homecoming Band Gear sale- Oct 12.
      • Volunteer- signup.com
      • T-shirt’s, bandanas, window decals, yard signs.
    • Panera Bread fundraiser-10/25
      • 4-8p 20% profit with flyer.
      • Info to go out in newsletter.
    • Applebee’s- bumped to November meeting.
    • Buffalo Wild Wings- $277.59 – Amy K to pick up check.
    • Water bottle/ t-shirt/ sweatshirt fundraiser- Amy K to check with Running Stitches.
    • 5 Below- Nov. 23-29 (Amy K)
      • 10% of all sales with flyer. Amy to send out flyer.
    • Concession stand for next year.
      • Amy K to go to next Athletic Booster meeting.
    • Pizza Hut (Standale)- bumped to November meeting.
    • Band jewelry- bumped to November.

Vice President -Christine S

    • Marching bibbers washed- $62- receipt given to treasurer for reimbursement. Board approved via group text.
    • Middle school polo shirts- short on Mediums- $16 ea.
    • Concert uniforms- ok to send for dry cleaning.
    • Black socks/ baby wipes- receipts given treasurer for reimbursement.
    • Marching band bill- all items to be lumped- but will be itemized. Bills to be sent to the office for billing thru school.

Band Director’s Report

  • Solo & Ensemble- Dec. 1
    • Middle school hosting.
    • 69 events.
    • Simple concession stand.
    • Planning/set up/ needs- bumped to November meeting.

New Business

  • March Band Banquet/ Silent Auction/ Auditorium Show- Oct 20. (Beth M, Kalene S)
    • Amy K- work with School Dude for tables/ chairs/ set up.
    • Will need new set up due to more students/families.
    • Amy K to ask parents for uniform help.
    • Amy K to order senior flowers.
    • Beth M to organize donations and sheets.
    • Beth M, Kari F, Kalene S, Linda K- cashiers
      • Use Square for credit card payments.
  • Homecoming
    • Signup.com for volunteers (pizza, desserts, water, parade, game)

Old Business

  • Thank you cards- email directors for addresses. Beth M has stamps.

Next meeting- November 19 @ 6:00pm. Middle school choir room.
