Mrs. Borst

Mrs. Borst received her Bachelor’s of Music Education degree with an emphasis in instrumental music and flute performance from Grand Valley State University. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Instrumental Conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. In her free time, Mrs. Borst enjoys playing flute and clarinet in different ensembles as well as traveling, hiking and camping with her husband. Mrs. Borst and Mr. VanStrien strive for all music students to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for music through exposing students to a variety of musical genres. They believe being a part of a musical ensemble not only makes you a better musician but also teaches you life-long skills that help students succeed in all of their future endeavors.
