HIGH SCHOOL BANDS

• CMU Band Day is tomorrow!!

• • • Report to band room at 6:15am – Itinerary on website
    • Uniform – White Beatles t shirt and solid colored shorts (if possible)
      • We are NOT wearing or bringing the full uniforms due to the heat

• Homecoming is Friday

• • All students are expected to march in the Homecoming Parade
  • Pizza will be provided between the parade and the game
  • Band Students will be released after the halftime show

Jazz Band: Listening Assignment #2 was due today, “Birdland,” & Chord Change Reading

My apologies for the second post today, but a couple parents were looking for the Band Day itinerary that was posted last week.

Band Day Itinerary

6:15 am Doors to Band Room are open

6:20 am   Loading buses and packing the trailer  begins

6:45 am Depart for CMU

8:45 am Arrive at CMU and Unload

9:00 am Registration and field placement

9:30 am Rehearsals and Sectionals Begin

12:00 pm Lunch – More Details to follow

3:10 pm In the stands for the start of the Game

7:30 pm Leave CMU

(It may be possible we leave earlier than that depending on conditions at the game)

CMU Band Band Day Uniform Update – High School Marching Band

As we have mentioned in previous posts, we have been in communication with CMU and other participating Band Day Directors.  At this point, all the other participating schools have now decided to wear their summer uniforms and we will be doing the same.  Summer uniform consists of our white Beatles t-shirt and shorts.  All Beatles t-shirts have now been distributed. Students do need to have appropriate SHOES and SOCKS that they can march in.

With this uniform change, we hope to have an enjoyable and memorable event for all students!  We will do our best to stay out of the sun whenever possible.  PLEASE MAKE SURE STUDENTS HAVE SUNBLOCK AND WATER.

We are still accepting donations of cases of water.  If you can help, we would greatly appreciate it.
