Monday of Camp – Solar Eclipse

I talked with the Marching Band on Wednesday about the upcoming Eclipse and what they can do.  During the time of the eclipse we plan to be inside for sectional time.  I will give directions to our instructors to bring students outside to view the eclipse outside but only if they have the proper eye protection.  Sunglasses do not count as proper eye protection.  I have been informed that the library is giving away free eye protection and many of the larger stores are selling them for around $2.00 a piece.

Help

We will have 140 hungry teenagers in band camp next week from August 21 to 24. Can you help us feed them healthy snacks like fruit, crackers, granola bars and water? http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0e45aea96-band Thank you for supporting their hard work on the marching field and the classroom

Thank You,

A Few Good Questions

Since my earlier post, several parents came up with good questions that I would like to share with everyone.

Camp location – High School Band Room and Marching Band Field.   Both the Band Room and Rehearsal Field are next to each other so the students will be in one place.

Dates – Camp is for all High School Band Students on both days.  Only the uniform fitting is scheduled for a particular day according to the students class.

What to Bring – Instrument, Water Bottle and Sunblock.
