General Announcements

  • HUNGRY HOWIE’S FUNDRAISER Grades 5 – 12 STARTING NEXT WEEK.  SALE ENDS SEPTEMBER 18TH
  • BUFFALO WILD WINGS  – BAND NIGHT SEPTEMBER 12TH ALPINE LOCATION.  20% OF BILL GOES TO SUPPORT THE BANDS.

5th Grade Band

  • Parent meeting on September 11th @ 7:00pm at South
  • Worked on counting, clapping & reading quarter notes 

Middle School Bands

  • Signed handbooks were due today
  • all students received their own copy of the method book
  • students enrolled in google classroom 
  • Students have drawn houses to connect all bands grades 6 – 12

High School Bands 

  • The Marching Band is off to a great start and had a very successful performance last week
  • Next Performance:  Football Game – Sept 7th Report 5:00
  • Victory Day: Sept 8th (Volunteers) 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
  • Students have drawn houses in an effort to connect all the band from 6-12.
  • HANDBOOK AGREEMENT FORMS DUE SEPTEMBER 7th
  • Jazz Band Begins – September 4th at 6:30am

Marching Uniform Decision and Schedule

Uniform Decision

We will be wearing our summer uniform for the first game.  The temperature is for 80 degrees and sunny.

Students must have:

Black Coopersville Bands T-shirt.  Upperclassmen have them already and some freshmen that marched Memorial Day have them.  If you are a freshmen and don’t have it yet, it is waiting for your here and the boosters will give it to you.

Shorts – Appropriate school length.

Shoes – Normal athletic shoes (like you use every rehearsal)

AGAIN – DON’T FORGET YOUR BLACK COOPERSVILLE BANDS SHIRT

 

Thursday, August 23rd

GAME DAY – FIRST PERFORMANCE

3:00 Rehearsal

5:00 Dinner (Pizza Provided by Boosters.  Please bring beverages)

5:30 Change into Summer Uniform Uniform and get Stands Tunes

6:00 Warmup on Practice Field and run Stand Tunes

6:30 March to Stadium

7:00 Game Begins

9:00-9:30 Game Ends

High School Bands – New York Trip 2019

Parent Meeting – Monday, September 10th at 7:00 in the High School Band Room

Bennett Travel will be at the meeting to answer all questions and well as Mr. VanStrien and Mrs. Borst.

Please save all questions for this meeting as email will be very busy the first few weeks of schools.
