Band Goals and Schedule

The end of the regular marching season is upon us! That being said we still have a lot of work to do!Please take time to carefully read this email.

Goals

– This week – Home Football Game (10-6-23)

– Week and a half (5 rehearsals) until Marching Festival (10-11-23)

– Two Weeks (6 rehearsals) until the Auditorium Show (10-14-23)

– Memorization

– Sound projection

– Dynamics

– Phrasing

– Transitions

– Slow style marching steps

– Arriving to sets in equal counts

– Ensuring everyone is in step

– Horn Angles

– Traverse Marching

These are all goals well within our reach, but it will take focused discipline and hard work to get there!This is the time for the final push!

Schedules

 

Friday – Home Football (10-6-23)

4:15 Uniforms

5:00 Rehearsal (Block C)

6:30 March to Game

7:00 Game Begins

 

Wednesday – MSBOA Marching Festival (10-11-23)

3:30 pm – Band Room Open

– Clothes to wear under uniform, black band t-shirt, tall black socks (you can dress in layers for warmth, but not too bulky!)

– Change into uniform

– Pizza (Thank You Band Boosters!)

4:00 pm – Load the Trailer

4:30 pm – Bus Departure

5:10 pm – Arrive at Mona Shores High School

6:15 pm – Warm-Up

6:45 pm – Travel Time

7:00 pm – Perform The Muppets

7:15 pm – Watch Bands

8:15 pm – Awards

8:40 pm – Departure

9:20 pm – Arrive at Coopersville High School

There will be concessions available at the festival.  Gate fee for the festival is $5.00 per person

 

Saturday – Auditorium Show (10-14-23)

3:00 pm – Band Room Open

3:15 pm – Change into Uniform

3:45 pm – Set Staging for Show Entrance

4:00 pm – Auditorium Show Begins

5:15 pm – Show Ends (Approx)
