Middle School Band Festival TOMORROW!

All 7th & 8th grade band students need to wear their full band uniform to school tomorrow.  

  • This includes: All black pants, tall black socks, coopersville bronco band polo (tucked in), all black shoes!

Students that ordered pizza lunch please bring the $5 tomorrow or Monday, otherwise they need to remember to bring their lunch with them!  

 

Two small changes from the original itinerary:

1.Students are to come directly to the band/choir room when they get to school. They do not need to check in or go to 1st hour.

  • (7th grade – band room    | 8th grade – choir room)  

2. The 8th grade bus will be leaving at 8:00am with the other 2 busses.

 

-Students may bring snacks and a jacket however, we strongly encourage students to leave their cell phones and other electronic devices locked in their school lockers.  

-Everyone is welcome to attend this free concert. We had awesome dress rehearsals today and we know tomorrow is going to be fantastic!

High School Festival Evaluation Performances are this upcoming Thursday at Grand Haven!

HIGH SCHOOL DRY CLEANING – $25 is overdue.  Please pay asap!

NEW YORK PAYMENT  – The final payment is now past due.

5TH GRADE BAND

  • Student received their first concert sheet music.  Rock It Science!

6TH GRADE BAND

  • Eb Scale Exercise Assessment will begin next week!
  • Oboe and Bassoon tryouts will also begin next week – students must have turned in a permission slip.

7TH GRADE BAND & 8TH GRADE BAND

  • Festival Evaluation Performance on 3/8/19 @ Muskegon High School
    • 7TH GRADE – 9:50 am
    • 8TH GRADE – 11:20 am
    • All 7th & 8th grade band students will be leaving at 8:00am and returning to school at 2:00pm on the day of festival.
  • Thank you to Mr. Klein and Mr. Bush who worked with the band the past couple weeks.

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A FEW PARENT CHAPERONES TO GO WITH US TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND FESTIVAL!

HIGH SCHOOL BANDS

  • Festival Evaluation Performance on 2/28/19 @ Grand Haven High School
    • Symphonic Band at 2:00 and Wind Ensemble at 3:35
  • State Solo Ensemble – March 16th at Portage Northern High School
  • New York Rooming Assignments are now due.  Students have links in their email to sign up for rooms.  Please make sure this is done this weekend.
