Thank you everyone for your patience regarding the start time of Thursday’s High School Concert. As we all know May is a busy time and we want to make sure that students receive all the experiences they can without having to leave things out. We have been working with the athletic office of the past couple weeks and monitoring events for the best possible start time. To make sure none of our young drivers need to rush, we have determined the best starting time for the concert is 7:30. Thank you again for your flexibility as we have been monitoring all the schedules.
As we are nearing the end of the school year, we are looking forward to next year with your student continuing on in the Bronco Bands. We see exciting opportunities ahead and with that come more responsibilities; not just for your student , but for the program as a whole. There’s way too much work for the Directors to handle, so the Bronco Band Boosters supply a stream of volunteers. We always welcome and appreciate all of our volunteers that help in numerous ways, from moving instruments and stands from the band room to the football field on Friday nights, to helping with Festival and Solo & Ensembles. However, this year we are looking to fill one of the booster board member roles, the Treasurer position, before the 2024/25 school year.
If you are interested in learning more about this position, please reach out to Marc Simkins, our booster’s president (president@coopersvillebands.org), or join us at our next meeting on May 9 @ 6:00pm in the High School band room to learn more. Even if you are not interested in joining the boosters board but would like to attend our meetings, please join us the 2nd Tuesday of each month @6:00pm in the HS band room. We are always looking for fresh faces and ideas at our meetings.
The Grand Rapids Symphony has partnered with the Band Boosters for 2 special concerts.
