The purpose of fundraising is to help with any financial needs the Coopersville bands may need.   The profits will go to the general fund.  Your help is greatly needed to keep this awesome program going and growing!  With your fundraising efforts the Boosters have helped pay for uniforms, instruments, band camp and more. September 17 / 20 – Chocolate Sales Begin

October 4th or 5th – ALL money and unsold chocolate MUST be returned

  • Each student will receive 1 box of chocolate.  
  • PLEASE EMAIL president@coopersvillebands.org IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR  STUDENT TO SELL BEFORE SEPTEMBER 17!!
  • Students can receive a 2nd box once first box is sold & have a note from their parent.
  • Each box contains 60 bars and will be sold for $1 each.
  • PLEASE only bring in LARGE BILLS OR CHECKS.  
  • Checks made out to Coopersville Band Boosters in an envelope with name on it. 
  • Please RETURN ANY CHOCOLATE you feel you cannot sell as soon as possible.
  • All UNPAID CHOCOLATE bills will be submitted to the school after November 1st. 
  • Chocolate and money will be COLLECTED DURING SEMINAR.   
  • The TOP SELLER in the Middle School will receive $25 and a band tshirt.  
  • There will be GOLDEN TICKETS located in some boxes.  If a student gets one of these, they can turn it in for a 1 pound chocolate bar.

HELPFUL HINTS

  • Write your name on your chocolate box and your envelope; they all look alike.
  • Know where your candy is at all times. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.
  • Beware of warm places (chocolate melts), ants and other hungry critters.
  • ALWAYS identify yourself as a band member and tell how the money will be used.
  • Always request payment at the time chocolate is given out.

Game Day Tomorrow! Can’t Wait to See Everyone!

IT’S ALMOST GAME DAY!!!

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at rehearsal and the game tomorrow!

Here is the detailed scheduled for tomorrow.  Time is short, so be ready!

3:00 Rehearsal begins on the Marching Band Practice Field

3:00-4:00 Review “You’re Welcome” with Music and Drill / Playing – Can You Feel the Love Tonight

4:00-5:00 Pregame including Fight Song (Stadium Version) and Star Spangled Banner

5:00-5:30 Stand Tunes

5:30 Dinner (Boosters are providing pizza – Bring your own beverages)

6:15 On Field to run halftime and Pregame

You will be getting a new version of the Fight Song called the Stadium Version. The Stadium Version is the same technique that University Bands us to make sure the melody can be heard at any part of the stadium.It has a lot more people playing melody and countermelody is added to the melody in selected parts.We’re really excited about it!

Here is the Reminders from Last Week’s email

Rehearsal and Football Game – Thursday, Aug 26th
– Rehearsal at 3:00 @ Marching Band Practice Field
– Dinner at 5:30
– Pregame at 6:45
– Game at 7:00
– Game ends around 9:00-9:30

– Don’t forget sunblock and water!

– The Boosters are providing a pizza dinner at 5:30 (Thanks Boosters!) Please plan on bringing your own beverages.

– We are using summer uniforms for the first game. The uniform is the band t-shirt with the student’s choice of shorts or jeans (it will be hot). Shoes should wear athletic shoes as we use at rehearsals.

– The band does play for the whole game with a break during 3rd quarter after halftime.

– We will be previewing our pregame and halftime show with the full show being used for the games after school begins.
