Banquet, Silent Auction and Auditorium Show!

 

What time will the doors open?   4:30p

What time does the banquet start?  5:00p

What is the purpose of the banquet?  This is a celebration of our marching band season and band students.  We also recognize Seniors and hand out awards.

What should we wear?  Students are encouraged to dress nicely.  Parents are welcome to dress up as well.

What should we bring?  Each family should bring their own plates, cups, drinks and silverware.

What kind of dish should we bring to pass?  Each family should bring a main dish with a salad or dessert.  Please put your name on your bowl or pan.

Where do I put my food when I get there?  Food tables will be labeled and located to the right of the entrance door.  Please place your main dish and salad or dessert on the appropriate tables.

What does the silent auction proceeds go toward and where do I place my silent auction donation?  Proceeds for each item will go to the student who donated it and it will help them pay for their band trip in April.  The silent auction item(s) can be placed on the tables located to the left of the entrance door.  Please look for your bid sheet and place your item on it.  Please do not forget to email a detailed description with your student’s name, grade and item(s) being donated to Beth at treasurer@coopersvillebands.org by Thursday, October 18th at 9pm, so bid sheets can be made ahead of time.

Where do we sit?  The banquet will be in the cafeteria.  Due to the large number of band students this year, we have extended the seating area in to the Main street hallway.  There will be reserved tables up front for the Seniors and their families.  

When can we view the silent auction items and when does the bidding close?  During dinner and when the students are released to get their uniforms on, you can bid on the silent auction items.  The auction will close 5 minutes before the start of the auditorium show.

Where do we form lines to get our food?  There will be 2 long tables, so we are able to have 4 lines going at once.  Please start at the main dish end (east end) and work your way back to the cafeteria.  This will help keep the silent auction area less crowded for viewing.  Each grade will be dismissed one at a time.

Is there anything special the Senior parents should know?  This year Olivia Szyszko has graciously accepted our request for her to take a photo of the Seniors and their parents up front after they receive their flower.  Once you get your flower, please turn around and face the audience for a photo.  

When does the auditorium show start?  The auditorium show will start approximately at 6:15p.  

When do we pick up our silent auction items? After the auditorium show, please pick up and pay for any items you’ve won at the silent auction.  Winners names are circled. There will be 1 line available to pay by credit card; the other lines are for cash or check.  Bring the item and bid sheet to the cashiers in the lobby area to pay.
