Our drumline/pit instructor, Mark Lopez, has confirmed the following availability for drumline/pit rehearsals. The dates and times are:
July 12th Workshop
July 19th Workshop
July 26th Workshop and Placement
All three dates are from 9am-12pm at the high school band room
Percussionists should plan on attending all three dates. If there is a conflict or you are out of town please let Mark Lopez know at malletlogic@gmail.com so he can plan accordingly.
If you are interested in auditioning for a spot and are not a percussionist you should also plan on attending all three days. Space will be limited however.
Band Camp – We are still on schedule to hold Band Camp from Aug 3-7 from 9am-4pm If there any changes due to COVID-19 precautions we will let you know immediately
Band Commitment Form – Parents please submit the Band Commitment Form for your student if you have not done so already.We must have this to ensure an accurate count for drill.Currently we only have half of the forms turned in.Without an accurate count, the show can not be written.
Check In – Each student will have to sign in each day of camp and have their temperature checked.
Face Masks – Masks will be required for camp.We will have procedures to be able to play and maintain 6 foot spacing.Masks that can be pulled up and down may be helpful
Social Distancing– We will keep social distancing in both the drill and our activities.
Water – Bring your own water jug.Students will not be allowed to refill at school at this time.
There are sill a lot of things we are working through and we will keep you updated with any new developments.
On behalf of Mrs. Borst and myself we wanted to take just a moment to thank all the parents and band boosters who made camp last week a success.You donation of food and time were greatly appreciated by the staff and students.It was a very smooth camp thanks to all your help.We would especially like to thanks Mrs. Karns and Mrs. Sprague for organizing all the uniforms and making a new method of fitting the students.They worked on this project since early last spring.
The Bronco Band learned the entire show during camp this year and most importantly made a bunch of new friends that we like to call our Band Family. We had an outstanding leadership team and freshmen class that really clicked.
