Coopersville Band Boosters Meeting

April 16, 2018

Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm in the high school choir room.

In attendance:  Lisa Borst, Greg VanStrein, Susan Borek, Beth Mast, Kelli Nobert, Karen Pike, Amy

Karns

Treasurer’s Report:  Not submitted as statement has not yet arrived

Old Business:  Pizza sales went very well.  We will be having a parent meeting for next year’s trip

soon.

New Business:  Motion was made to appoint new individuals into positions for the upcoming school

year.  Amy Karns to President, succeeding Rob Hardenburgh. Karen Pike to Secretary,

succeeding Susan Borek. Christine Sprague to a one-year term to finish out Vice President seat

that was vacated. Beth will send flowers to Rob for personal issues that have plagued him as

of late.  We also will contact him regarding the by-laws that he may have copies of.  Beth will

also contact Kari (former treasurer) to see if we received all the paperwork back from the audit

that was done while she was at that position.  Kelli is going to set up a free estimate for an

electrical system and Greg is looking to make some purchases for the marching band tower –

we have a previously owned speaker system and would like to make it operational for marching

band.  As of now there will be 153 students in the high school band.  There will also be a

student teacher from Central. We are also looking to add soundproofing to the room at South

Elementary.  Amy is going to be the scrip coordinator and it is set to go from the school.  More

information to follow at the next meeting.
