Private Lesson Information
Coopersville Band Boosters
In order to make private lessons more available to students in the 6th grade through 12th, the Coopersville Band Boosters have generously offered to pay 20% of a student’s lesson as long as funds are available. Lesson must be instrument specific (instrument you play in band). If you are interested in this program, you and your parents should read through this form very carefully and ensure that you understand the obligations of this program. Keep in mind that once the scholarship fund runs out, there will be no more refunds given. Information on funds will be available after each due date (Nov 1, Feb 1, June 1)..
In order for the Boosters to contribute 20% per lesson:
the STUDENT must:
- Return this form to directors with private teacher information & get approval from directors.
- Come to the lessons prepared (this means you practice at home between lessons)
the PRIVATE TEACHER must:
Fill out the Private Lesson Information Form, certifying that you have come and paid for your lessons.
The PARENT must:
1. Volunteer twice within the school year in one of the following areas:
A. Candy Bar Sales
B. Friday Night Band Swag Table
C. Band Camp
D. Band Festival Volunteer
E. Uniform Help (marching band / sewing concert)
If all of the above criteria have been met, the band boosters will reimburse the student/parent 20%. Deadline for these forms are November 1, February 1 and June 1 (limit one lesson per week). The student will be responsible for obtaining the teacher’s form and having them fill it out. Any questions can be directed toward the President of the Band Boosters.
